RICHARD HAAS
Born in Spring Green, Wisconsin in 1936, Haas received a BA in art and art education from the University of Wisconsin and an MS from the University of Minnesota. Haas had a distinguished career as a teacher, painter and printmaker. He is particularly known for his monumental murals paints and trompe l'oeil he has done in most U.S. states. The work of Richard Haas afforded him numerous awards for his architectural picturing including those of the Municipal Art Society of New York, American Institute of Architecture, National Endowment for the Arts and the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Fellowship.
